Salvation.

Hello, Welcome!

Salvation… What a word and what a meaning it has behind it.

Before I write about any other topic, I felt that the holy spirit was leading me to write about this particular topic, as a matter a fact. Throughout all my future posts to come, I am willing to be as sincere as possible in my writings and speak only nothing but the truth.

My guess on why I was lead to write about this topic before anything else is because there are many people in this world that don’t have ANYONE to talk to them about the good news of the gospel of God.

People may be in many influences of the world, they may have been so stuck in debt with the world for years and decades that it may be hard for them to experience change, a new life, a new heart. In this world, there are so many spiritual chains that slave us, that does not let us rest day after day. There are many people that think there isn’t a way, this is my life and that’s it…..

I am here to tell you there is a way…. JESUS!

He made a way when there was NO WAY..

I was one of the people who didn’t know anything about salvation including my own family. Who could tell me about the good news when all I see around me is my family who are battling with addictions, lack of the fruits of the holy spirit, abuse one another, envy one another, being so into the world and what it offers. Throughout time, I develop my relationship with my savior, I took the little steps of faith. I have been trying to figure it all out? I had to leave all the false doctrines and traditions that I have been taught growing up in order for me to not be deceived. To detect when I’m being deceived and when I am being told the truth. At first, I had many ideas of salvation? I knew for a fact that I want to be closer to God. I knew that I wanted to be a Godly woman, a woman of God. In my heart, I knew that this woman that went off to college is not the women I wanted to be. A woman of God that serves others and is obedient and sensitive to the savior… That’s the women that I strive to be.

At first, I thought that I must simply develop a close relationship with God at the highest level in order for me to be noticed? forgiven? be called his child? I thought that I have to be so perfect? I thought of so many things trying to figure out how to simply be close to God? How to be saved? Trying to figure out where to begin? I figured that there were so many STEPS to God and it has complicated my life, even more, to believe that there are so many steps. There would be times where I would get so frustrated and upset because I thought that I was simply not good enough for God, he is so HOLY; and I was simply dirt with many defects that fail him over and over.

Salvation is simple.

We are currently living in the New Testament, which means Jesus is the reason why we have New Testament Salvation because he is the testator.

Hebrews 9:16-17 “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”

Meaning that the New Testament is not in effect until Jesus the testator has died and conquered death by rising again.

Repentance

To repent means to turn away and go the opposite direction in your life. To turn away from all things that God hates, things that break his heart, things that are not created and blessed by him.

II Chronicles 7:14 ” If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Luke 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

Mathew 3:1-2 ” In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of judea, And saying, repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

I Corinthians 15:31 ” I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Repenting is like you laying your life, your flesh down to die. For you to not want any part of the old you at all. For you, wanting to be less of you and be more like your savior. Lay down all the unforgiveness, addictions to drugs or alcohol whatever addiction it may be, sexual immorality, the wickedness of any sin you dealt with, any harm you have caused others lay it down. Repenting is asking God for the forgiveness of all of your sins and choosing not to ever end up on that path again, REFUSING to walk down that same path once again.

To repent, all you need to do is simply have a moment with God, and talk to him, simply speak to him and tell him that you repent for everything that you have done that has broken his heart, simply saying I am SORRY. Repent in your own words, speak whatever comes out, you can speak from the heart ❀

It’s just you and God… And you can repent anywhere at any time and even daily.

Baptism

John 3:5-8 Jesus answered, Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit. Flesh give birth to flesh, but spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be suprised at my saying, You must be born again. The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with every-one born of the spirit.”

Baptism is the act of being immersed in water. It represents the old you being buried with Christ. When you rise up, just like Jesus, you are a new creature, a new YOU.

Baptism is the sign of the New Testament Covenant.

Romans 6:4 ” Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as christ was raised up from dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

The purpose of baptism is for the remission or the undoing of sins.

Acts 2:38 ” Then peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remisssion of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Who should be baptized?

Mathew 28:19 ” Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

– The name of the Father is found in John 5:43 when Jesus Christ said, ” I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.”

– The name of the Son is found in Mathew 1:21 when the angel told Joseph, ” And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: For he shall save his people from their sins.”

– The name of the Holy Ghost is found in John 14:6 when Jesus Christ said, ” But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Holy Ghost

When the disciples saw Jesus rose from the dead and heading to heaven to set a place for the believers. The disciples told him that basically that they all need him to guide them in their lives. Jesus told them that he will send the Holy Ghost and it will be the Comforter and give them the power and direction through Jesus Christ. In Acts chapter 2 that’s where you can find where the Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost.

John 16:7-8 “ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”

When we receive the Holy Ghost, that’s when God takes control of our tongue, and we begin to speak in a heavenly language as the spirit gives us the utterance or the specific words to say.

Romans 8:11 ” But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell I you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.

The Holy Ghost is for whoever asks, whoever calls the Lord, those who have repented and have been baptized. It is a promise that God made to you, for anyone from all NATIONS.

Acts 2:39 ” For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the lord out God shall call.”

Oh for how I wish to have had at least someone, a long time ago to tell me about the gospel, to tell me about salvation, faith, EVERYTHING. I am so blessed to have met wonderful people, amazing leaders who spread the gospel to me and teach me about it so I can also spread the word to others. I hope this post made a positive impact on you today.

Thank You,

John 3:16 ” For God so loved the World that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God Bless You All ❀
